How do I check a used SSD's health?
Ask the seller for a CrystalDiskInfo screenshot showing Health Status, Total Host Writes (TBW), and Power-On Hours. Under 30% of rated TBW is a safe bet.
NVMe vs SATA SSD — what's the difference?
NVMe drives plug into M.2 slots and are 3–7× faster than SATA. SATA SSDs are still great for boot drives on older systems and much faster than any HDD.
Are used hard drives worth it?
For bulk storage (media, backups) yes, especially enterprise 8–18TB drives. Always test with a SMART long self-test and Badblocks before trusting data to them.
